Stafford has been at Pfisterer (Pty) Ltd since 1999 and is currently the Manufacturing Manager of the company and is part of the top management team.

Pfisterer is a medium sized company that has operated in Pietermaritzburg for over 50 years. Pfisterer (Pty) Ltd is part of the Pfisterer family owned group of companies, based in Germany, with representation throughout most of the world. The company produces overhead cable components for the electrical industry and has a workforce of around 500 employees. Stafford is essentially responsible for the manufacturing unit of the company and also looks after the Maintenance function. In addition to these responsibilities, as the company has grown over the years, he has taken on managing the Human Resource function including Industrial Relations. He studied at Technikon Natal and completed his NHD - Mechanical Engineering.  

Stafford is married to Nicki and has two kids Callum (5) and Imogen (2). Nicki works for UKZN in the Science Access Programme where she lectures biology. She has an MSc in Conservation Entomology and is completing her MEd. Stafford has a wide variety of interest outside of work which include mountain biking, camping, radio controlled models and motor sport.
