EXPORT OF GOODS TO KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
Many exporters have received from their clients, documentation relating to “official” changes which call for both exporters and Chambers to register their details on an Exportal (www.exportal.com) website to enable them to produce electronic Certificates of Origin and export documentation directly with the Saudi authorities.
Whilst such a portal does exist, we hereby wish to inform all exporters and freight forwarders that there has been no change to the procedure for exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Chambers and exporters are not to register or change the protocols unless we are directly informed or instructed in writing of such changes directly from the Saudi Embassy.
Confirmation has also been received from them that no such protocol exists for exports from South Africa to Saudi. In case of emergency, exporters seeking further confirmation, may do so by contacting the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Consulate section directly on 012 362 4230.
